Menlo Park, CA, October 26, 2020 – FlemingMartin is pleased to announce that Talis Biomedical, an innovative diagnostics company focused on infectious diseases, has hired Ram Balasubramanian to be their new Vice President of Software.
Ram will work closely with the leadership team as Talis enters commercialization with a focus on COVID-19 diagnostic testing. He will be responsible for leading a world-class team, developing a strategic vision, supporting multiple software platforms, managing data in the cloud, and designing cyber security.
Ram is a visionary software executive with strong life sciences experience. He joins Talis from Roche Diagnostics where he served as VP of Software Engineering. Earlier in his career, Ram held progressively senior roles at Philips Healthcare, Carestream Health, and Kodak Health. His expertise includes building exceptional teams from the ground up, creating new diagnostic software, and launching cloud-based products. Ram earned his MSEE from the University of Washington along with his BSEE from the University of New Brunswick in Canada.
