Jim Barnhart brings more than 30 years of experience to Velodyne Lidar and has a proven track record of manufacturing operations leadership, most recently serving as Senior Vice President, Operations at Nanometrics Inc. Jim also served in senior operations and supply chain roles at Cymer, J&J and Applied Materials.

Earlier in his career, Jim served as an engineering division officer onboard submarines in the U.S. Navy. In addition, Jim holds an MBA from the Walter A. Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley, and a B.S. in electrical engineering from Washington State University’s College of Engineering in Pullman.
