Los Angeles, CA, February 9, 2026 – FlemingMartin is pleased to announce that U.S.VETS, the largest nonprofit organization with boots on the ground to combat America’s veteran homeless crisis head-on, has hired John Ing as their Chief Financial Officer.

John is a transformational leader with a proven track record across both corporate and nonprofit sectors. His career in investment banking spanned more than two decades, with a focus on sell-side advisory, strategic planning, and operations consulting before dedicating the past decade to advancing community impact through nonprofit leadership.

Prior to joining U.S.VETS, John served as Chief Financial and Administrative Officer of KidWorks in Santa Ana, where he leveraged his expertise in finance, operations, and organizational strategy to support at-risk youth from pre-K through college.

Previously, he served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Illumination Health & Home (formerly Illumination Foundation), one of Southern California’s largest nonprofits providing healthcare and housing to individuals experiencing homelessness. In recognition of his leadership, john was named 2024 Orange County Business Journal Nonprofit CFO of the Year and was a 2025 JPMorgan Chase Community Icon nominee.

John is deeply committed to developing and supporting other leaders in the nonprofit community. He mentors emerging executives and serves as an instructor in nonprofit financial management for OneOC, an accelerator supporting nonprofits. He serves as trustee and treasurer for a multi-county charter school network, providing governance and fiscal oversight to ensure educational equity for students in underserved communities throughout Southern California.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of California, Irvine, and an MBA in finance and marketing from the USC Marshall School of Business. He and his wife, Dr. Arlene Ing, are active in their church and support humanitarian organizations including World Vision International, OneChild, and Hope for Haiti. They are proud parents of two children—one pursuing a medical degree at UC San Diego and the other studying mechanical engineering at Georgia Tech.
