San Jose, California, March 23, 2013 – Fleming Martin is pleased to announce the completion of their search for ActiveVideo’s new Chief Operating Officer. FlemingMartin also successfully completed ActiveVideo’s Chief Marketing Officer search earlier in the year.
Greg Carver joins ActiveVideo at a critical time in the company’s 20-year history. ActiveVideo has been a pioneer in the development of the Internet cloud television experience and is now perfectly positioned to benefit from the convergence of three forces: the adoption of enterprise cloud solutions, the explosion in use of mobile devices, and increased consumer demand for a better “television” entertainment experience.
Mr. Carver brings nearly thirty years of operations experience in the high tech and telecom industry to this role. Prior to ActiveVideo, Mr. Carver was SVP of Global Services for VirtuOz, a “Siri” for the enterprise software company. VirtuOz was acquired by Nuance [NASDAQ: NUAN] in a successful exit for VirtuOz employees and investors. Prior to VirtuOz, Greg was SVP of Customer Operations at MegaPath, Inc., the U.S. leader in DSL infrastructure. He has also held senior roles at iPass Communications [NASDAQ; IPAS]; GoRemote [NASDAQ: GRIC]; Kleiner Perkins’ Broadband Office; Williams Communications and Nortel Networks.
ActiveVideo’s mission is to utilize the power of the internet cloud to revolutionize the experience of television. The company’s CloudTV™ product has placed them at the forefront of innovation in media distribution. CloudTV™ is a fully virtualized platform that moves the intelligence of the television user experience out of the home and into the cloud.
