La Tavola Fine Linen opened in 2008 as a boutique linen rental provider with the mission to diligently and creatively serve clients through a couple of key locations in California. With enormous demand for the company’s linens, La Tavola has opened ten showrooms and sales offices and ships their products nationwide. With a Napa-based warehouse as the main hub through which each order is processed, La Tavola works as a tightly-knit, collaborative team and functions as a one-stop-shop for everything from sewing to delivery to washing linens. La Tavola sources fabrics from top-notch manufacturers around the world who craft their products for prominent interior design, home decor, and fashion industry leaders. Far from standard rental-grade fabrics, La Tavola’s linens mirror the best in the design and fashion worlds, melding quality with style.
Frontenac Company, a leading private equity firm based in Chicago, acquired La Tavola in December of 2015. Frontenac was founded in 1971 with the belief that people are the driving factor behind successful businesses. Carmel brings to La Tavola over thirty years of financial leadership at companies such as Independent Distillers, the Henry Wine Group and Elsevier MDL/Symyx Technologies. She earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of London.
Carmel is the consummate finance professional, with proven success in rolling up her sleeves and strategically guiding companies through periods of high growth. Carmel looks forward to being an integral part of the leadership team at La Tavola and helping scale the company to new heights.
